Origins
IVAAC was founded by a few artists of Indian origin living in Charlotte, in search of a creative outlet stemming from their artistic urge to express the free flow of moods and ideas. Their vision was to create a proactive, nonprofit organization that would provide planning and funding, required to ensure and support a
vibrant and culturally diverse art community in Charlotte for the artistic
indulgence of all residents including art connoisseurs and critiques.
Vision
IVAAC's vision is to promote the enigmatic and intriguing Indian culture into meaningful forms of expression that best exposes the rich traditions and diversity of one of the most ancient civilizations of earth in today's fast blending global culture. Its ultimate goal is to collaborate with other international artists and audiences to promote a cohesive and cultural amalgamation of the visual arts.
Members
IVAAC is a synergy of highly talented and uniquely distinct Indian artists who have found in one another a similar passion for the arts. This passion has translated into a culturally rich and diverse palette of South Asian moods, forms and colors that is best described through their individual forms of work.
